about

Curiosity is by far the most ambitious rover sent to Mars. This track cover its entire story, and is by far my favorite piece on this album.
Here's the timeline of the piece (someone should animate this)
Starts of at 0:00 in triumph as the rocket stands on the launch pad here on Earth.
1:00 in the countdown starts. T-5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1. Always a very suspenseful part of any launch. Liftoff happens at 1:27. Epic and dramatic. There are literally a million things that can go wrong, and a huge amount of time and money wasted. This launch was successful and the rocket comes into orbit at 2:12. Its trajectory towards Mars continues until 03:23 where it begins it very dangerous re-entry and landing (personal favorite part). It goes on for a while and the mission is a success. Parachutes open at 04:54 where it glides down towards the surface. At 05:14 the exploration starts and fades out slowly, as it's still exploring to this day.
Thanks for coming along on this journey!
